We recently carried out a roof repair on a property in Rhuddlan, North Wales. The slate roof had developed several issues around a roof window area, with slipped and damaged slates allowing water to penetrate the roof. The repair was needed to restore the roof’s integrity and prevent further damage.
We began by removing the loose and broken slates to expose the affected area. This allowed us to check the condition of the battens and membrane underneath and carry out any necessary repairs before re tiling the section. Particular care was taken around the roof window to ensure correct detailing and a secure finish.
Replacement slates were installed to match the existing roof, along with correct fixings to hold them firmly in place. We also checked and improved the flashing around the roof window to ensure the area was fully sealed and protected against future leaks. All materials used were selected for durability and to blend in with the existing roof covering.
The completed repair has restored the roof to a safe and weatherproof condition. The area now sits neatly in line with the rest of the roof, preventing further water ingress and reducing the need for ongoing roof repairs North Wales.
